Zionist Occupied Government (ZOG)

The Zionist Occupied Government (ZOG), sometimes also referred to as the Jewish Occupational Government (JOG), is a white supremacist conspiracy myth that the U.S. government is controlled by Jews.

According to believers, a secret Zionist (Jewish) organization controls international banks and governments, and uses its power against white, Christian interests. The name is intended to portray Jews as all-powerful conspirators who aim to control the world, as depicted in the forged Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

The term first appeared in the 1970s in the U.S. and is commonly found on white supremacist sites such as Aryan Nations and National Alliance. Antisemites claim that ZOG manipulates Western governments to allow Jews to control the world economy, limit free speech, and confiscate land. White supremacists have used slogans such as "Smash ZOG," "Kill ZOG, or "Death to ZOG" to further perpetrate the conspiracy myth.

In addition, the phrase “Zionist occupiers” is also used by antisemites on the far left and by Islamists seeking to destroy Israel. The terms are also used to reference any Jew or non-Jew who supposedly places the interests of Israel over those of the United States and tries to persuade the U.S. government to use military or economic power on behalf of Israel.
